Free Portal 2 DLC coming this summer!

I received an email a few minuets ago from Vavle stating they intend to releases a series of FREE DLC's for their recently released game PORTAL 2. Now I haven't played P2 yet. (I doubt my laptop could even handle it) - But what do you guys think these DLC's may contain?

As per usual Valve are being quite secretive about it all and haven't really revealed to much, all they've said so far is the following.

Portal 2 DLC #1 will offer new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more.

Targeted for release this summer, Portal 2 DLC #1 will be offered free of charge for the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, and PS3.

So Bananites...

  • What would you guys want to see in these DLC's?
  • Is it too early to be releasing DLC's or should this have been in the initial release?
  • Will you use the new leaderboards & challenge mode?

I would like to see good integration of custom level possibility in Co-Op. many new Co-Op chambers, free content like hats etc. (free, I won't pay for a hat in a game).

I'd love advanced chambers, something I felt missing.

That and custom map support/SDK. I'm considering to remake Portal 1 with Portal 2 art assets, since Aperture stuff was retroactively redesigned. (Not with the overgrowth of course)

Ooh, also, if you worried about your laptop not being able to handle it, you might be surprised. It runs a million times better and smoother than Portal 1 on my laptop. I run it fully maxed on 1920x1200. (except AA, since that's redundant on a 96dpi screen) It's insanely well optimized.
